[Store]Check the storefront first

App Store storefront and account country or region

This app isn't available in the mainland China storefront. Whether you can find and purchase it depends first on the country or region of the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases.

Shadowrocket is a paid client for Apple platforms, available exclusively through the App Store. The button above opens the same product page using a US storefront link. The storefront in a link is not the same as the region associated with your account: after opening the link, the App Store may still show the storefront for your signed-in account or indicate that the app isn't available in that region. Opening the page in a browser alone does not confirm that your account can complete the purchase.

Check your account region on your device

On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. You may need to authenticate to open your account page. The navigation may vary slightly by system version; follow the labels shown on your device. This checks the account used for App Store purchases. Device language, device region, and your current location do not determine the storefront associated with that account.

To view the option for changing regions, go to Country/Region and select Change Country or Region. Whether you can change it depends on your account status and the prompts shown. Your account balance, existing subscriptions, family settings, and payment details may affect the process. Review each prompt and make sure you meet the purchase requirements for the new region before proceeding. This page explains where to find the setting but cannot guarantee that an account can change regions.

Proceed only after reviewing the purchase prompt

Once you reach an available product page, check the app name, developer, and price before purchasing with your own account. Follow the App Store prompts to confirm whether your payment method is accepted or billing details need updating. If the transaction status is unclear, check your account history before trying again. Storefront availability and device compatibility are separate checks: the former determines whether the app is available in the store, while the latter determines whether your device meets the app's requirements.

[Check]

Recommended order: account region → listing details → device compatibility → price and payment prompts. Don't decide based on the app name in search results alone.

[Verify]Cross-check three details

Developer, official icon, and App ID

The name Shadowrocket helps identify the app, but confirm the listing by checking that all three details match.

Developer

Shadow Launch Technology Limited

Expand the product page details and check the developer or seller field. Confirm the full name; similar spellings or promotional descriptions are not a substitute for verification.

App ID

932747118

The product link opened by the App Store button on this page ends in id932747118. Check this identifier rather than relying only on the beginning of the link.

Check the original icon artwork

The official icon shows a blue-purple outlined rocket on a white background and matches the official icon in this site's header. On the store page, check the icon alongside the developer name and App ID. Similar colors, a similar name, or a description mentioning Shadowrocket are not enough to prove it's the same app. The icon can help you find the listing, but it does not replace the other two checks.

Search results may include apps with identical or similar names, as well as other content. Open the specific product page and verify the full developer information. If the icon looks similar but the developer doesn't match, stop the purchase process and return to this page's App Store link to check again. Don't rely on search ranking, promotional copy, or a single marketing image to identify the app.

The App ID is the numeric identifier in the product URL. It is different from a device model, order number, or account number. If you reach this page from elsewhere on the site, make sure the final link opens the same App Store product page. After verifying the listing, check store compatibility, price, and app details. View update history on the product page; this guide does not use a fixed version number in place of current store information.

[iPhone]First launch after purchase

Install on iPhone and authorize the VPN configuration

Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. Install the app from the store first, then import your existing subscription or server details.

On your iPhone, open the verified product page in the App Store. Check that the compatibility section includes your device, then use the purchase or redownload option shown. The button may differ if you've already purchased the app. Check the signed-in store account and purchase history rather than relying only on whether an icon appears on the Home Screen. Low storage or a connection issue with the store may also prevent installation.

Prepare your details before connecting

When you first open the app, check Home for any existing server entries. A new local list needs to be populated with your own existing subscription or server details; purchasing the app does not create a usable server. Use the Subscribe option to import a subscription, or Add Server to enter details manually. Match the address, port, protocol, and authentication parameters to your source information. Don't use sample values to try a real connection.

The first time you connect, the system may ask for permission to add a VPN configuration and require device authentication. This authorizes the app to create the relevant system configuration; it does not mean a server connection is established or a rule is active. Read the system prompt and confirm that Shadowrocket is the app requesting permission before proceeding. If you cancel, you can try connecting again when ready and follow the prompt shown by the system.

Authorization and connectivity are separate checks

After authorization, select a server that is actually available and check the current Global Routing setting. Config, Proxy, and Direct correspond to different traffic handling modes; don't infer the active policy from the main switch alone. Test one entry using your existing information before adjusting rules. Changing several settings at once makes it harder to identify the cause of a problem.

For the full import, connection, and verification steps, see the Getting Started Guide. If you have multiple subscriptions or need to organize servers, see the Subscribe Management Guide. These are separate from purchasing through the App Store; when troubleshooting, first identify which stage the issue occurs at.

[iPad]Use on another device with the same account

Install on iPad and other compatible devices

One purchase with the same Apple ID can be used on compatible iPhone and iPad devices. Refer to the App Store page for purchase eligibility.

If you purchased Shadowrocket on your iPhone, sign in to the App Store on your iPad with the same Apple ID, then open the same product page or view your purchased apps. After confirming the original purchase, redownload the app; you don't need to buy it again just because you're switching from iPhone to iPad. “Same account” means the account used for the App Store transaction. Using the same account for other device services does not necessarily mean it's also the account used for store purchases.

The iPad's larger display area can change how lists and details appear depending on screen orientation, window size, and the app's current layout. When following a guide, look for interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings rather than assuming a button stays in the same position as on a phone. The app's appearance on your device is the reference; layout differences alone don't mean you've installed the wrong app.

Check purchase history and configuration separately

After installing the app on iPad, check whether your own servers and configuration are present. A purchase can restore your right to use the app, but it does not necessarily transfer all local data from another device. If the list is empty, import your own details again or restore a backup you previously saved. Then check the selected server, Global Routing, and rule files before testing the connection.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. To use the app on one of these devices, check the same product page in its App Store and confirm that the device meets the requirements. Refer to the App Store page for universal purchase availability and system requirements; don't assume that purchase details for iPhone and iPad apply to every device.

The first-connection steps on this page focus on iPhone and iPad. Navigation, input methods, and system authorization may differ across devices, so check the product page details and prompts on the device you're using. On all compatible devices, get and update the app through the App Store.

[Restore]Find your purchase history first

Changing devices, reinstalling, and restoring purchases

If the same Apple ID has a valid purchase, redownload the app from your purchase history without paying again. Restoring the app and restoring its configuration are separate processes.

Find the app in the App Store

On your new device, go to App Store → Account → Purchased and redownload Shadowrocket. Depending on the system interface, purchased content may appear under “Apps” or a similarly named list. If you can't find it, first check that you're signed in with the original purchase account, then review your purchase history and hidden items. Don't make a second purchase just because the search page temporarily shows a price.

If you have changed your account region, also check whether the app is available in your current storefront. Your purchase history, current storefront availability, and device compatibility can all affect the restore process. A past purchase does not guarantee that you can immediately redownload the app in every situation. If the page shows a restriction, follow the App Store account and transaction prompts to investigate; repeatedly signing out or paying again won't identify the cause.

Restore your own subscription and server details

After downloading, open the app and check the server list in Home and the configuration file used in Config. You may need to reimport your own subscription, share link, or server parameters on a new device. Confirm the details are still valid, then check the full address and protocol fields. If you have a personal backup, verify its contents and save date first to avoid overwriting more recent, organized data with an older configuration.

Subscription URLs, authentication details, and backup files may contain personal access credentials. Keep them somewhere you control, and don't share full subscription URLs or passwords when troubleshooting or discussing settings. Before changing devices, note the configuration name, current Global Routing setting, and any necessary custom settings. Compare them after migrating rather than checking only that the app icon is present.

Family purchase eligibility

To find out whether family members can use a purchase, check the App Store product page's Family Sharing information and confirm your family's actual settings. Don't confuse restoring a purchase with the same Apple ID with sharing a purchase across different accounts. Eligibility depends on the App Store page and system prompts; this guide does not promise that another account can restore the purchase.

[Price]Understand what the purchase covers

One-time app purchase vs. network services

The US storefront price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase. Other storefronts display local currency; the App Store payment screen shows the actual price.

Shadowrocket is a one-time app purchase, with no recurring monthly app fee. Before paying, check the currency and amount shown in the store. Prices may vary by account region. The US dollar price on this page reflects the US storefront and is not a live conversion for other storefronts or a substitute for the amount shown at checkout.

[Scope]

The app purchase does not include network services. Your purchase covers the right to use the app, not servers, subscriptions, or network services. This is the official Shadowrocket website and guide. It does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions.

Using the app requires your own existing subscription or server details. The client stores this information and processes connections and rules according to your configuration. Check the validity, server availability, and authentication status of any existing subscription using your own information. If the app opens but a server won't connect, that does not mean your app purchase has expired; buying the app again won't fix incorrect server details.

Check three types of status separately

First, check the store purchase status by reviewing the account and transaction history. Second, check installation and system authorization by reviewing device compatibility and system prompts. Third, check the in-app connection status, including your existing servers, subscription updates, and current configuration. Identify which category applies before following the relevant instructions to avoid changing unrelated settings. For first-time users, payment is only the first step; importing details and testing the connection are separate tasks.

Updating the app and updating a subscription are different actions

The App Store provides app updates. You can enable automatic updates in your device settings or check for updates in your store account. Updating an existing subscription in the app fetches the server details returned by that subscription; it does not update the app through the App Store. These actions solve different problems. If a subscription fails to parse, check that the link is complete and review the returned content rather than assuming you need to pay for the client again.

Before purchasing, read the listing verification and purchase restoration guidance on this page. After installing the app, follow the official getting started guide to import your own details. For help organizing, deleting, or backing up multiple subscriptions, see the subscription and server management guide. These site guides provide operational instructions; purchases and updates are handled through the App Store.

[FAQ]Frequently asked purchase questions

Search, installation, and purchase restoration

Use the App Store prompts to identify where the issue occurs, then check the relevant requirements.

Why can't I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

This app isn't available in the mainland China storefront. Your Apple ID's country or region determines which storefront you see. Check it under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region, then check the product page for availability. Opening a link to the US storefront does not change your account's region.

Why can't I download it after finding the product page?

Check the App Store message first, then verify your account region, payment status, device compatibility, available storage, and internet connection to the store. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. If you already have a purchase, check your purchase history before paying again.

Do I have to pay again after changing devices or reinstalling?

If your Apple ID has a valid purchase, you can redownload the app from App Store → Account → Purchased without paying again. Restoring the app does not restore all local settings; check and import your own subscription or server details on the new device.

Can I install it on iPad without buying it again?

Shadowrocket supports iPhone and iPad. A single purchase with the same Apple ID can be installed on compatible devices of both types. Check your storefront account and device compatibility; refer to the App Store page for purchase eligibility and system requirements.

Can I install it on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the product page in the App Store on your target device. Refer to the App Store page for universal purchase availability and system requirements.

The app interface is in English. How do I follow the instructions?

Check the App Store for the app's supported languages, and review your device's language settings. This official guide keeps interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Subscribe, Config, and Settings in English, so you can follow the instructions by matching those labels rather than relying on their position or a translated name.
